forbidden knowledge
The creation of of the monster in the timeless work of literature "Frankenstein" was always portrayed as the very thin line that no scientist should ever cross. Many people portray this as forbidden knowledge. Frankenstein is all about forbidden knowledge because Dr. Victor Frankenstein gets so caught up in being equals with God that he spends years locked away shunning friends and family and even his health to try and one up God if i must say. There is always that limit that should never be reached because we as humans can never predict the full outcome of a situation and we can never know if it will make a turn for the good or bad. For Dr. Frankenstein his creation went completely south and did not come out as he envisioned. So sometimes some ideas and knowledge should be kept in the forbidden knowledge department for a reason.
Science, for better or for worse?
From the early 18th century us humans have been infatuated with the logistics and mystery of science. Slaving away in labs hours upon end with no urge to stop until each scientist discovered and figured out what he/she was most interested in. In present day our technology and scientific breakthrough's and theories are so advanced that we can create and explain nearly everything, but is this a good thing or a bad thing?. Some people will say it is a good thing some people will say its a bad thing. What we can all agree on is that knowing to much about anything is never a good thing for example, when we are children we do not have a care or a worry in the world because we are oblivious about the stresses and hardships of life but as we grow older we grow wiser and know more which also brings stress and worry upon ourselves.

Research

During the 18th century people were growing tired of the unexplained events that made the world how it is today. Before the 1830's people recognized no such person a scientist who studied natural philosophy. Naturally philosophy became a rather popular topic in the science field. Basically natural philosophy is the study of nature and the vast universe before the study of science came into play. Due to natural philosophy being a favored topic it helped further the growth of the Industrial Revolution by creating new age technology. Important technological innovations occurred after 1870, since a significantly higher proportion of inventors after this period possessed technical training in science and engineering. A famous invention that changed the way we communicate was the telephone invented by Alexander Graham Bell in 1876. The attitude of the people towards the Industrial Revolution were mixed feelings such as they were excited for the new inventions but did not know what to expect from this. The cause of these inventions being made caused female and child labor to sky rocket due to the high demands of the products. Due to some inventions such as wool makers or mechanized looms up roared protests of these machines which brought upon the Luddites Movement. The Luddites Movement were British textile artisans who who protested often by destroying mechanized looms in which made them feel they were being left out of work. Good or bad science helped us further understand our world and partially our universe, without science we as people can not advance in technology and as a species.
